In the Fall of 1991 the Rowing Committee members contributed funds to build a new 32 ft x 52 ft. boathouse in Grand River Park. In the Spring of 1992 the new boathouse was named after a founding member of the club, Bob Ryden, who died in January of that year.
By 1994, LRC was already outgrowing the boathouse so a 44 ft. x 54 ft. addition was added. This was paid for by funds left to LRC by Bob Ryden.
Today, the Bob Ryden Boathouse houses both club and individually owned boats and oars and is nestled between the MSU Crew Club and MSU Women's Rowing boathouses in Lansing's Grand River Park. The park features a public boat launch area, large parking lot, and seasonal public bathrooms.
